If I Could Tell
I have a secret,
No one knows,
Except the books of lines and prose.
If I had courage,
I would say,
But that can wait for other days.
Like days when cows,
And pigs take flight,
Or maybe on a sunny night.
So no one knows,
How my heart aches,
To tell someone before it breaks.
Of all the things I ever knew,
About false dreams,
Like me and you
Not one could be so painfully true.
I should have fallen from this fairy tale,
Broke the evil witch's spell,
I only wish that I could tell.
